Meyer Wilson is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Michael J. Boyle to its investor claims and class action practice.
Columbus, Ohio (March 28, 2013) – Meyer Wilson is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Michael J. Boyle to its investor claims and class action practice. Mike Boyle prosecutes the firm’s class action cases on behalf of consumers and investors and represents investors in FINRA arbitrations.
David Meyer, Principal attorney of Meyer Wilson Co., LPA, is excited to welcome Mike to the firm. “Mike is one of those shining stars, a very bright attorney who I wanted on our team as we continue to battle investment and consumer fraud on behalf of our clients across the country.”
Prior to joining the firm, Mike clerked for the Honorable R. Guy Cole, Jr., a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit during the 2011-2012 term. He began his career in San Francisco, California with the international law firm Covington & Burling, LLP then moved to Carroll Burdick & McDonaugh, LLP. Mike Boyle most recently worked at the Columbus, Ohio, law firm Carpenter Lipps & Leland, LLP.
Boyle embraces ‘paying it forward’ and has maintained a significant pro bono practice. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Mike volunteered with a free legal clinic run by Loyola University of New Orleans, in which he provided a wide range of services to displaced residents of Louisiana. He also served with the San Francisco Bar Association’ s Legal Assistance project, providing free legal assistance to low income residents of the Bay Area.
Mike received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law where he graduated with honors. While there, Mike served as a senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and was a finalist in the Keedy Cup Moot Court competition.
He graduated summa cum laude from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, with a focus on political theory. Mike’s original plan was to become a priest, “I’ve always had a calling to a vocation, but there are many ways to channel that energy to create dynamic change in the world. Working as an attorney is another path to that end.”
Mike is a member of the California Bar, and is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Ninth Circuits, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California and the Southern District of Ohio.
