Update from Ohio Investment Fraud Attorney Representing Victims of KGTA Ponzi Scheme
By David P. Meyer, Esq.
The Ohio investment fraud firm Meyer Wilson has been representing victims of the KGTA Ponzi scheme since early April, nearly two months before the Securities and Exchange Commission filed a civil lawsuit against the owners of KGTA, the attorney escrow agent, and the brokers selling the fraudulent securities. I reported on the SEC filing in my earlier blog back on June 3rd.
We Have Recovered Over
$350 Million for Our Clients Nationwide.
Soon after we announced our efforts on behalf of the clients we represent, there has been a lot of chatter on the internet about potential recovery options for those victims who were sold the KGTA investment by brokers Jerry Cicolani and Jeffrey Gainer. I was the attorney who personally represented 60+ individuals from Northwest Ohio in prior cases over the past 10 years involving Mr. Cicolani’s investment practices, all of which are reported in public records. Having handled all these cases, I have significant insight into what may be legitimate courses of action for victims of the KGTA scheme as well as options that are not viable.
As a result of what we have uncovered based on the KGTA cases we have filed as well as our three-month investigation into the mechanics of how this Ponzi scheme operated, we believe there is much more to this story than what is being suggested on the internet.
If you or someone you care about was a victim of the KGTA Ponzi scheme, call me at 614-224-6000 or email me at dmeyer@meyerwilson.com and I can explain the course of action I am pursuing on behalf of the group of clients I am representing.
