Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Cleveland Office Stephen D. Anthony and United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio Carole S. Rendon announced that eight people were sentenced to prison for their involvement in an investment fraud scheme that cost investors approximately $39 million in losses.
- Zirk de Maison: Ordered to pay $39.1 million in restitution, sentenced to 12+ years in prison.
- Stephen Wilshinsky: Ordered to pay $4.2 million in restitution, sentenced to just under 3 years in prison.
- Talman Harris: Ordered to pay $843,423 in restitution, sentenced to 5+ years in prison.
- Gregory Goldstein: Ordered to pay $5 million in restitution, sentenced to just under 3 years in prison.
- Jack Tagliafero: Ordered to pay $5 million in restitution, sentenced to 5+ years in prison.
- Victor Alfaya: Ordered to pay $3.6 million in restitution, sentenced to just under 2 years in prison.
- Kieran Kuhn: Ordered to pay $5.6 million in restitution, sentenced to just under 4 years in prison.
- William Scholander: Ordered to pay $843,423 in restitution, sentenced to just under 2 years in prison.
Two more co-conspirators will have hearings later in 2017.
