Meet Michael Boyle, Special Counsel to Meyer Wilson, where he spearheads our class action practice. With a decade of dedicated experience representing consumers across the nation, Mike’s work is about finding places where individuals have no way to get justice for their losses, bringing them together, and getting everything to which they are entitled. From the biggest cases against Fortune 100 corporations, to actions protecting the rights of nurses at a rural hospital, Mike’s has worked to provide compensation for millions of consumers. These cases have run the gamut from privacy issues, to workers’ rights, to defective products, and to protecting investors from fraud.
Notable Achievements
Mike was involved in the largest settlement in the history of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), In re Capital One Telephone Consumer Protection Act Litigation, Case No. 1:12-cv-10064 (N.D.Ill), in which Capital One paid over $75 million to settle claims involving debt collection calls to cellular telephones. Mike and the Meyer Wilson team also settled a case against CVS pharmacy alleging that CVS improperly disclosed the HIV status of members of the Ohio Drug Assistance Program in their mailings. Doe One v. CVS Health Corporation et al., Case No. 2:18-cv-00238 (S.D. Ohio). In addition, there is a pending settlement resolving the claims of nurses and other patient care workers in eastern Ohio that they were denied compensation for missed breaks. Myers v. Memorial Health System Marietta Memorial Hospital et al., Case No. 2:15-cv-2956 (S.D. Ohio).
Exceptional Background
Mike’s legal journey began at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where he graduated with honors, served on Law Review, and reached the finals of the Keedy Cup Moot Court competition. Following three years at some of the country’s most prominent defense firms, Mike secured a prestigious clerkship, working alongside the Honorable R. Guy Cole, the former Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. This invaluable experience laid the foundation for his role at Meyer Wilson.

A Commitment to Community
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mike maintains a substantial pro bono practice, reflecting his dedication to service. His work includes volunteering at a legal clinic run by Loyola University of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, assisting displaced Louisiana residents. He has also served with the San Francisco Bar Association’s Legal Assistance project, providing free legal support to low-income residents of the Bay Area. He handles indigent criminal appeals in front of the Sixth Circuit, in accordance with the Criminal Justice Act.
