According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck report on Janney Montgomery Scott LLC broker and investment adviser William Harvey (CRD# 2398782), he is involved in two pending customer disputes.
The first dispute was filed on October 26, 2016 and alleges that Harvey made unsuitable investments. The customer is requesting $150,000 in damages.
The second dispute was filed on December 6, 2016 and alleges that Harvey misrepresented the nature of investments made, recommended unsuitable investments and made unauthorized trades. The customers are requesting $280,000 in damages.
Harvey previously settled a dispute back on October 14, 2009 where the customer alleged that Harvey failed to provide suitable tax and investment advice in relation to the tax consequences of their premature IRA distributions. The customer received $9,000 in damages.
Harvey is currently registered with Janney Montgomery Scott LLC based out of Doylestown, PA. He was previously registered with Legg Mason Wood Walker, Incorporated based out of Baltimore, MD.
