Allegations of Wrongdoing Against Bernard Adair
According to his BrokerCheck report, Bernard George Adair (Bernie Adair) has 10 disclosures against him. The first customer dispute was settled in 1996 after a client alleged that Adair engaged in unsuitable and unauthorized trading in stocks and mutual funds. The claim was settled.
The second settled dispute again involved unsuitable recommendations. The client also alleged that Adair made unauthorized transactions and overconcentrated his account in equities. Currently, a pending dispute alleges that Adair misappropriated funds and failed to act in the best interest of the client from 2017 to 2019. Adair remains a broker with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner, & Smith Incorporated where he has been employed since 1991.
