Meyer Wilson Werning is proud to share that Jared Connors, associate attorney at our firm, has been selected for inclusion in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®. Recognized in Columbus for Class Action and Mass Tort Work
Each year, Best Lawyers® compiles peer-reviewed rankings of leading attorneys across the country. In its 33rd edition, Jared was honored for his outstanding work in Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions – Plaintiffs, marking him as a recognized Best Lawyer in Columbus, Ohio.
This marks Jared’s first selection by Best Lawyers®, a distinction that reflects the respect and confidence his peers have placed in his professional abilities.

A Practice Built on Preparation and Principle
Jared joined Meyer Wilson Werning as a law clerk in 2020 and, after earning admission to the Ohio bar, transitioned to the role of associate attorney in 2021. He earned his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law that same year, following a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in history from Northern Illinois University. During law school, Jared served as an editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and earned the title of Best Brief at the 2019 Herman Moot Court Competition.
Since joining the firm, Jared has gained extensive experience across a wide range of class action matters. His work spans consumer protection, data privacy, product liability, and telecommunications law, and includes meaningful contributions to several significant federal cases, among them:
- Bowen v. Porsche Cars, N.A., 561 F. Supp. 3d 1362 (N.D. Ga. 2021), involving allegations that an automotive company damaged infotainment systems through unauthorized software updates
- Brown v. DirecTV, LLC, 562 F. Supp. 3d 590 (C.D. Cal. 2021), in which the court denied decertification and granted partial summary judgment for a plaintiff class alleging prerecorded debt collection calls to non-customers in violation of the TCPA
- Head v. Citibank, N.A., 340 F.R.D. 145 (D. Ariz. 2022), where a nationwide class of non-customers who received prerecorded debt collection calls was certified
- Nichols v. State Farm Mut. Auto. Ins. Co., 634 F. Supp. 3d 426 (S.D. Ohio 2022), involving allegations that an insurance company applied unlawful deductions to total loss vehicle payments
- Ghanaat v. Numerade Labs, Inc., 2023 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 157378 (N.D. Cal. 2023), addressing alleged violations of the Video Privacy Protection Act through a Meta Pixel tracker
- Allen v. Wenco Mgmt., LLC, 2023 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 178605 (N.D. Ohio 2023), where the court held that a data breach plaintiff plausibly alleged cognizable damages in the form of a privacy injury and an increased risk of identity theft
Jared remains an active member of both the Ohio Association for Justice and the Ohio State Bar Association. His mastery of legal research and writing has made him a key contributor to the firm’s class action team. That body of work, and the clients it has served, is what gives the recognition its weight. For Jared Connors, the satisfaction lies in the outcome: “I’m proud of the work we’ve done to hold large corporations accountable and make a meaningful difference through class action litigation.”
