In one instance, a client alleged that Davis made an unauthorized withdrawal from their account in the amount of $51,800. Instead of the withdrawal being sent to the client, the $51,800 was sent to a third party that the client had no association with.
In another instance, a client alleged that Davis made unsuitable investment and trading recommendations that led to high risk exposures and eventual losses. The client also alleged that Davis had been participating in churning, misrepresentation, fraud, and other unauthorized activities.
In his letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent (NO. 2013036026901), Davis accepted and consented to FINRA’s findings that he –

“Failed and refused to appear for FINRA on-the-record testimony regarding allegations that he engaged in misconduct in several customer accounts, including conversion; misrepresentation of customer holdings and account values; forger of account related documents; discretionary and/or unauthorized trading; efforts to settle a customer complaint away from his member firm; and unsuitable recommendations.”
Davis was a registered broker associated with OneAmerica from April 1, 2010 through July 26, 2013. After the investigation and FINRA’s findings, Davis was permanently barred from the securities industry.
